1. The platypus, called kamonohashi in Japanese, is one of the strangest animals.

2. They have a bill like a duck and they have webs on their hands and feet, so they can swim very well.

3. They look very cute, but male platypuses secrete a deadly poison from the nails on their feet.

4. Although they are mammals, platypuses lay eggs.

5. They dig holes beside rivers to make their nest, and live in the nest alone.

6. Their nests are hidden by many plants, so finding one is extremely difficult.

[1] There are many types of salmon. Chum salmon, Red salmon, Silver salmon, King salmon and so on.

[2] In spite of their red meat, salmon are classified as white meat fish. This reason their meat is red is the fact that salmon always eat crab or shrimp, which color is red!

[3] Salmon are born in a river, but soon after they go to the sea. And until they become an adult, they live in the sea.

[4] To release their eggs, adult salmon return to the river where they are born.

[5] Scientists have never been able to solve the reason why they can return to the same river.

As everybody knows, cockroaches have glossy black body, a long feeler and six legs.

They can move fast by using these. But it is not only that. They use also their tails (figure 1) . Their tails are connected directly with the nerve of the foot. This can make the leg begin to move at once, before the brain receives the signal. The obtained information can be passed on to brain even by the feeler in 1/1000 seconds! In addition, they have envolved power full legs. This is that we can’t defeat them. Well, my grandmother can crush them by the heel.
